You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM OFFICE of the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will provide support for the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR)'s Transformation Program Office (TPO). You will compile and analyze reports, briefings, and communications documents related to Civilian Human Resources within the organization and serviced activities. You will review personnel data using systems such as HRLink, USA Staffing, or other HR data warehouses to provide reports to senior leadership. You will track and follow-up on major human resources initiatives to include updating Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) taskers for completion and sending reminders to management. You will provide stay and exit interview surveys to organization staff, consolidate feedback from the respective surveys, and report results to senior level managers. You will perform miscellaneous clerical support work such as drafting correspondence, maintaining human resources data, and preparing recurring reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-05 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1.) Compiling and maintaining human resources data to develop reports for leadership on organizational effectiveness; 2.) Researching human resources policies and procedures to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders; 3.) Providing support work using office automation capabilities to prepare a variety of documents such as letters, memoranda, and reports for leadership. GS-04 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

GS-04: Successfully completed two years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite; OR Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required experience plus the percentage of the required education must equal one hundred percent.

GS-05: Successfully completed four years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite; OR Have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required experience plus the percentage of the required education must equal one hundred percent.
