About the Position: This is a Cash Clerk, GS-0530-03, position with the Army Community Hospital Evans, located in Fort Carson, Colorado.

Duties

Courteously greet diners. Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, clients and staff. Consolidate cash collected from coffee cart sales. Input into the computer system amount and prices of food purchases. Prepare menu boards that are going to be posted. Restock condiments and paper products in a dining room facility.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. General Experience: Three months of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, (1) operating electronic cash registers with accuracy and speed in totaling items purchased, collecting cash, and giving correct change, (2) having knowledge of basic arithmetic, (3) performing other food related services duties. OR Education: High school graduation (or equivalent) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 3. Then divide your total credit hours of education by the total number of credit hours required for graduation as set by your high school. Add the two percentages.
